Hope's Smile

This is the mask to the installation I showed at the 2011 Jell-O Art Show. I entered it in the Mayor's Art Show, and it will be shown in the Salon du Peuple at the New Zone Gallery, through October 7, 2011.

About me and my art

Picture
I'm a little old lady who has been making Jell-O Art for 23 years. Just this year I discovered that I could wear it!

Gelatinaceae is a collection of flowers and other gorgeous objects made from gelatin, water and dye. The gelatin is air-dried, and becomes a durable, permanent substance that resembles glass, except that it will still melt in water.

I will post here the pictures of what I'm making, which is for sale at the Eugene Saturday Market, in Eugene Oregon. As I develop the site I will make it possible for you to easily own one of these astonishing creations for yourself.

I also make screenprinted t-shirts, baseball caps, tote bags, and silk scarves and flags, as well as handpainted silk. See the additional pages for these items.

For now, please see my blog at http://gelatinaceae.blogspot.com/ for more information on my art. I have a Facebook page called Gelatinaceae at jelloartandmore and you can email me at dianemcwho@gmail.com
